NSRRA

Celebrating 50 years of NSRRA we wanted to say thank you. So what are we doing?

The Newsletter due out at the end of May / early June will be a special edition to include the history of NSRRA.

When Ken put a post out saying what races had disappeared that seemed to attract lots of attention was the Track 10 Mile so we are bringing it back for a one-off special probably at the end of July.

There are 50th anniversary T-shirts and Hoodies to purchase and the images and links to the shop are further below and here is the part we think you will all enjoy.

Everyone who is a member of NSRRA before 5PM on 12th April will receive free of charge a specially commissioned Moorland Pottery Mug..

Here is the Moorland Pottery Mug that every member is receiving as a thank you.

Here is the link to the shop to purchase the NSRRA 50th Anniversary T-Shirt and Hoodie.

North Staffordshire Road Runners Association was set up in July 1974 to promote road running in the North Staffordshire region. Members are organised into groups based on ability. There are seven mens and five ladies groups. There are also leagues for different age groups 40 to 44, 45 to 50 etc.

Each year 20 races are chosen to go into the NSRRA programme and the best 12 performances in these races count towards the league competition. In each of the events the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th etc in each group receives 50, 49, 48, 47 etc points.

You can run as few or as many races as you wish, but normally to be competitive at the top of your group or age group you would need to run 12 races.
Race 18
Apart from memorial awards, you need to have run 6 races to qualify for an award.
